Community Supports

Individuals who have been a victim of a crime and / or tragedy may also be facing other challenges in their lives which may have been pre-existing or a direct result of their victimization.   For some, their most immediate needs are getting a place to stay or food to eat.

Albertans may be eligible for Emergency Income Support from Alberta Works if they have been faced with an unexpected, one-time Emergency that’s no fault of their own, e.g., sudden eviction due to fire.
