After a Tornado
After a tornado, you may have contact with police, government officials and community agencies here to assist you. The Red Deer City Victim Services Unit is one such agency. Our staff and/or volunteers may be called upon by the Red Deer City RCMP Detachment to provide you with emotional support, information or community referrals.
Two of our local agencies you may receive information on or be referred to are the Canadian Red Cross and the Alberta Emergency Management Agency.
The Canadian Red Cross may provide emergency and disaster services such as emergency lodging; reception and information; emergency food; emergency clothing; personal services and family reunification services.
For more information on the services available in your area please contact your local Canadian Red Cross.
The dangers associated with a disaster are not over once a tornado has passed. Protect yourself and your family. For further information on assistance and recovery support available here in Alberta please visit the Alberta Emergency Management Agency website for more information.
